You can find the following animals at Slough Farm: Belted Galloway & Randall Lineback cows, Tunis sheep, Tamworth, Duroc & Berkshire Pigs, Guernsey goats, Freedom Ranger chickens, Icelandic Horses and a mixed flock of laying hens

Slough Farm donates all of its meat , eggs, flowers and produce to the community and community organizations, including through partnerships with its food equity partners. Unfortunately, we do not reserve any farm products for purchase by the public.

Slough Farm invites the public to sign up for and attend any of our publicly available programming. We also welcome you to contact us for private tours. Unfortunately, because Slough Farm is a working farm with all of the activities and commitments of a working farm, we are not open for public walk-ins. Our sister farm, The FARM Institute located at 14 Aero Avenue Edgartown, is always open to the public.

Slough Farm is operated exclusively by Slough Farm Programs Inc., an independent, stand-alone 501(c)(3) public charity. Slough Farm Programs Inc. has full and direct responsibility for all agricultural, operational, administrative, programming and compliance activities arising from or related to Slough Farm.

The Slough Farm property is owned or ground leased by 15 Butler’s Cove Road, Inc. 15 Butler’s Cove Road, Inc. is an independent, stand-alone 501(c)(2) tax-exempt title-holding corporation that supports Slough Farm Programs Inc. 15 Butler’s Cove Road, Inc. leases one hundred percent (100%) of the Slough Farm property to Slough Farm Programs Inc.

Slough Farm Programs Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and fiscal oversight of the organization. The Board of Directors establishes policies and procedures to guide the organization's operations, ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and safeguards the organization's mission and assets. The Board meets on a regular basis to review organizational performance, approve budgets, and make key decisions regarding programs, partnerships, and long-term planning. Through their collective leadership and dedication, the Board of Directors ensures that the organization remains accountable, transparent, and committed to fulfilling its charitable purpose.

Yes. Although Slough Farm Programs Inc. and 15 Butler’s Cove Road Inc. are both organized as non-profit entities, they are separate and distinct organizations, each with its own independent board of directors, governance structure, and corporate purpose.

Slough Farm Foundation is the nonprofit title-holding company of Slough Farm Programs Inc. Slough Farm Foundation is a Massachusetts-based private charitable foundation which makes grants to charitable projects on Martha’s Vineyard or that benefit Martha’s Vineyard causes.
