Alia Munley

Education and community coordinator

Alia Munley is the Education and Community Coordinator, helping shape the farm’s educational programming and assist with running programs smoothly. A Midwest transplant, she studied Art Education and Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies and has her master’s in Community Art Education. She is also a certified Healing Arts Practitioner.

Alia has spent much of her career as an art educator in public schools, community art centers, and museums, creating spaces where people can discover their connection to community and creative expression. She is passionate about building strong, creative communities and is excited to bring that same spirit to hands-on, agricultural-based learning, drawing inspiration from Slough Farm and the ever-changing natural world.

When she’s not at the farm, she’s likely rollerblading in the state forest, turning recyclables into art or enjoying one of our many beaches with her dog Juno.
